From Dread of Public Speaking to Enjoyment: A Workshop Participant Speaks

I was surprised that my presentation went so well! What was really wonderful was that I didn’t have the shaky hands or voice. The breathing became very natural for me and it kept me relaxed while I was up in front of the class.

Another great thing was being able to make eye contacts. I usually can’t focus on the audience, but this time, I was able to look around and just see what was going on. I observed some people nodding as I explained things, but even if someone didn’t seem engaged, it didn’t bother me.

I was able to continue to go around the room and connect. If I started to talk too fast, I was able to slow down again, and I didn’t have to rely 100% on my notes. I have so much more I could say. This was just really huge for me. I was actually able to enjoy doing the presentation.

There is really so much more that I gained from this weekend, but being able to do this presentation was so wonderful!

Thank you for all of your support!
